We have a position for a reliable, efficient, motivated, amicable individual who can follow guidelines, work independently and has common sense to solve unexpected issues, in a cost-effective manner. Basically, we would like to find a person who will treat this work, not as a job, but like their own business.
This is a long-term position; the last person was with us for 6 years.
You will be based at Reedy Creek, for 2 ½ to 4 days per week and drive our vehicle with trailer, and our equipment, to the other locations that are within a 20-minute radius. Start and finish times are flexible. We will need to discuss wet weather flexibility with the successful applicant.
You will be mowing, edging, using a whipper snipper, pruning, weed spraying, fertilising, spreading mulch, removing dead plants and branches, picking up green waste, blowing and vacuuming, pressure washing and driving a manual Ute with a trailer with all our tools and equipment, to other locations or to take green waste for disposal.
You will also be required to do “handyman” jobs outside gardening work as required. And perform the duties whilst being amicable and pleasant to residents.
There is a beautiful 3-bedroom, 2 bathroom villa, with a sunny private courtyard, that can be negotiated into any agreement, that will be available on the 18th April. It is in a gated complex that is near private and public schools. More information can be given to the successful applicant.
To fulfil the role, we require a Police check and at least 2 character references. We will not tolerate drinking or drug use on the sites. You will need appropriate visa status to work in Australia.
We would prefer an ABN holder. We will consider anyone who wants to work either casual/ permanent part time or full time. The pay rate will depend on your ability and suitability. Other similar contract positions offer a rate for ABN holders of $270 per day rate for 8 hours of work. For an employee role, the rate would be award based.
If you are a qualified horticulturist that would be great, but relevant experience and common sense will suffice. We will provide extensive on-site guidance, policy and protocols. A good command of English is essential.
You will need a current manual car license and appropriate WHS knowledge or cards are desired. We will supply uniforms and PPE, which you would look after.
If this sounds like the job for you, please send your resume to *****@buildingcare.com.au or you can call 0409782*** if you want more information.
