Due to our recent expansion we are currently seeking a talented Gardener / Handyman to join our expanding team in Toowoomba. The role is for someone who has gardening / handyman and or caretaking experience, yet this is not essential. Your initial appointment will be on a casual basis with the option to transfer to permanent employment at a later date.
Reporting to the Administration Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day to day grounds, gardens and upkeep of the company facilities across our 3 locations in Toowoomba.
Job Requirements
- Perform mowing, gardening and associated activities;
- Ability to use a number of gardening tools including zero turn mowers, hedgers, trimmers shears etc.;
- Weed control including some weed spraying;
- Basic handyman capabilities;
- Complete daily inspections of facilities to perform those duties to ensure they are clean and ready for use;
- Manual handling and disposing of various types of waste;
- Support management and staff to ensure the appropriate site tidiness, cleanliness and safety protocols are met across all company facilities;
- Availability to work shifts outside of normal working hours where required;
- Current motor vehicle licence; and
- Sound oral, written and interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a team delivering quality products in a timely and efficient manner.
