Connolly Primary School (PS) is seeking to appoint a dedicated Gardener - Handyperson to maintain and present the school grounds and gardens in an attractive, clean environment for our students and school community to enjoy.
As a Gardener - Handyperson, you will provide gardening, grounds, and facility management to ensure a safe and clean school environment. The successful applicant will maintain and present the school grounds and gardens in an attractive, clean, and tidy condition, and provide a suitable growing environment for both soft and hard landscaping, including turf management.
To be successful in this role you should possess good knowledge of gardening methods and procedures, including the safe use and storage of gardening equipment, materials, and chemicals. Experience in servicing gardening equipment and performing minor repairs and maintenance tasks, as well as other Gardener - Handyperson duties in accordance with the Department's policies and guidelines.
The successful applicant should possess good communication and organisation skills as well as attention to detail and be able to work unsupervised as well as within a team environment.
Connolly PS is an Independent Public School, it was established in 1991 and is located approximately 25 kilometres north of Perth, close to the Joondalup Golf Course. The school provides educational services to students from Kindergarten to Year Six, with an enrolment of approximately 400 students.

To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate the following work related requirements (selection criteria):
- Sound communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in maintaining grounds and gardens, including turf management.

- Knowledge of gardening methods and procedures, including the safe use and storage of gardening equipment, materials, and chemicals.
