Permanent full-time position for Maintenance and GardeningWork Monday - Friday, 7 AM - 3 PMNFP Tax benefits - salary package up to $15,900 and $2,650 for meals and entertainment allowance.We are looking for a Gardening and Maintenance Attendant for a permanent position in Dubbo. This is a full-time role to look after day-to-day lawn mowing, Gardening and Maintenance activities across our Retirement Village to ensure the building and grounds are always looking and operating at their absolute best.About the role: This role is a permanent position with 76 hours per fortnight and will be well suited to maintenance personnel familiar with the day-to-day upkeep of building and grounds.Your responsibilities will be, but not limited to:Respond to maintenance requests in an efficient and timely manner.Minor building repair works to building fixtures.Maintenance of gardens, lawns, irrigation, pools and groundsAssist residents with minor maintenance works such as light globes, broken fly screens, minor lock repairs.Setting up and taking down for special functions - such as a Village BBQ or morning teaAssist with safety inspections and light cleaning of community centresOther duties as directed by the LeaderWhat are we looking for?Verifiable experience in a maintenance role in aged care/retirement living or similar setting would be desirable but not essential.Demonstrate a proactive attitude towards sustained maintenance of building and grounds.Trade qualification preferred but not essential.Willing to learn about aged care and the principles guiding this sector.Ability to interact with the elderly residents on a day-to-day basis.LR Drivers licence as you may be required to drive the village busWilling to undergo a National Police check.What we offer:Non-profit salary packaging (up to $15,900 for Everyday Living Expenses & $2,650 Meal Entertainment allowance)Career and professional development opportunitiesA supportive team environment and stable employmentRSL LifeCare is a leader in senior living, providing high quality retirement villages, aged care homes (nursing homes) and personal home care throughout NSW and ACT.
