About You
With extensive experience in garment construction, fittings, quality assurance, and product co-ordination; you will contribute to executing incredible premium quality products across a wide variety of women's apparel categories. The role involves working closely with our Head Designer, Creative Director and Design Assistant.
Position Overview
Working closely with the Design team to transition from initial design concepts through to final production. Reporting into our Creative Director, you will specify and create technical packs, manage the fitting process, coordinate quality control standards and Production schedule, ,ensuring all products meet the zoe kratzmann quality standards and critical path.
- Following design direction specify and create detailed technical packs
- Participate in fittings with the Design team to resolve design and fit changes and make relevant changes to the garment specifications
- Responsible throughout the fitting process to accurately measure samples, update technical specifications, and translate to technical packs to ensure high quality sample making
- Collaborate successfully with the Design team throughout the development process to final production to ensure prototypes, salesman samples, pre-production and final production are managed on-time according to the critical path, resolving technical issues to meet required quality and fit standards
- Review fabric tests and work with suppliers on appropriate garment care instructions that meet standards
- Review and approve FGS to suppliers following grading standardsCommunicate and co-ordinate quality control requirements and inspection reports with offshore suppliers, external QC and third-party inspections
- Update and maintain multiple production schedules with off-shore suppliers, communicating regularly with the Design team on production status, resolving issues to ensure production is managed to the critical path
- Successfully maintain productive working relationships with off-shore suppliers, regularly reviewing their performance together with the Design team
- Collaborate with the Design team to source new suppliers based on new product requirements
Skills and Qualifications
- 3+ years experience in a similar role.
- Experience in Women’s Fashion is required.
- Experience working across a variety of categories is essential.
- Tertiary education in Design, Pattern making & Grading is desirable.
- A genuine awareness of trends and the ability to incorporate this into fit sessions.
- Strong skills in Excel & Illustrator (Or ability to visually communicate detailed annotations).
- Experience in Tech packing, Garment spec, Pattern making, & Grading is essential.
- In-depth knowledge and experience in fabric testing, textile properties and quality assurance.
- Ability to anticipate construction problems & provide suitable solutions.
- Strong communication skills with both international suppliers & internal departments.
- Strong organisational skills to adhere to critical path deadlines.
- Impeccable attention to detail.
