Responsible for supporting innovative systems design, development, and implementation expertise to assist the Group Credit Risk team achieve their objectives. The role works with the wider team and other key collaborators, and together with Optus IT, on running the ongoing support of hardware and related software and process improvement of GCR systems.
This role supplies to Group Credit’s key objective of improving credit and fraud application approvals, and collections and recoveries, whilst decreasing bad debt and fraud through the optimization of operating margins by increased department effectiveness through enhancement of system capability & processes, detecting and rectifying gaps whilst focusing on the customer experience.
Your day in the life at Optus
- Providing ongoing support, monitoring, and maintenance for GCR systems to assist Group Credit in meeting their strategic objectives.
- Ensuring that system changes to support objectives are implemented in a timely and accurate manner.
- Ensuring a high level of support for Group Credit Risk systems and that any changes are communicated to internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensuring the systems reporting and systems monitoring needs of the Group Credit Risk team are met in a timely manner.
- Ensuring system documentation, procedures and operational instructions are maintained to Optus standards and in a timely and accurate manner.
Your skills to pay the bills
- Proven background in Credit and Fraud Risk Strategy, statistical and analytical skills
- Experience in IT and process management
- Systems testing and test planning skills
- Programming in C# , python, java script, CSS preferred.
- Experience with Agile framework using Confluence and JIRA.
- Technically minded – able to understand complex technical solutions.
