KEY LEADERSHIP OPPORTUNITY
We’re on the lookout for a General Manager (GM) to lead our operations team at UniLodge @ Curtin University on a full-time permanent basis. This is a key leadership role, responsible for overseeing total property management across the Curtin University Portfolio. Reporting to the Area General Manager (AGM), you will work with the operations teams to strategically drive operational success of each property.
WHO YOU ARE
Due to internal promotion, we are seeking an experienced and hands-on General Manager to our team on a full time basis (Monday to Friday position).
You are an experienced senior operations manager who is passionate about guiding, coaching, and mentoring your team to achieve excellence and deliver outstanding experiences for our student residents and visitors. Our preferred candidate will have experience in the student accommodation field and will demonstrate solid commercial acumen. Your ability to lead and motivate a team, implement strategic plans, and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders will be vital to the success of our operation. Your leadership skills will help to support the growth and ongoing development of your team, and will empower them to champion fostering a safe, secure, and healthy living environment for all students.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Your responsibilities as General Manager will include but not be limited to:
- Ensure student wellbeing is prioritised at all times
- Be thoroughly familiar with our Operating Agreements and to manage the property as per the management agreement and all associated Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Establish and maintain constructive and productive working relationships with the client, head office, operations team, student residents and other relevant stakeholders.
- Manage and optimise the financial return, and the overall financial performance of the property as outlined in the Financial Model/Budget
- Maintain the property to the highest level of cleanliness and presentation as would be expected of a professional property management company
- Pro-actively maintain the building’s fit-out and the standard of its equipment
- Provide overall leadership, guidance, and direction to develop a team of high performing staff
- In the absence of the Area General Manager act as their delegate
- Real Estate Agent Licence (WA) – desirable
- National Police Check (completed within last 3 months)
- Current First Aid + CPR Certificate
- Unrestricted work rights in Australia
