West Australian family owned Prendiville Group, operates 21 iconic tourism, hospitality, and entertainment facilities across three states. Our businesses are represented in a host of different environments, from the sanctuary of Broome, the blue waters of Rottnest Island, swan valley and southwest vineyards and Port city of Fremantle.
The Cottesloe Beach Hotel is an iconic West Australian hotel. This position provides a great opportunity for a passionate and committed hospitality service driven professional to lead this high-profile venue.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Comprehensive management of the property in accordance with the directives, policies, and procedures of the company as advised, amended or introduced from time to time. Comprehensive management is inclusive of a hands-on role as appropriate.
• Property and management compliance with all relevant laws, legislation, and regulations.
• Maximisation of opportunities for the benefit and in the interest of customers and all other stakeholders of the company.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
• FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT - Manage the property to maximise financial returns
• EMPLOYEE MANAGEMENT - Manage employees, employee levels and issues, ensuring the property is staffed with the best available employees operating in accordance with company standards.
• GENERAL MANAGEMENT - Apply the general principles of planning, organising, leading by example, directing, delegating, controlling and communicating appropriate to the circumstances.
• SALES, MARKETING, ADVERTISING, SPECIAL PROMOTIONS AND CUSTOMER SERVICE - Promote the property through aggressive sales and marketing campaigns with appropriate advertising and special promotions, all complimented by superior customer service.
• FUNCTIONS - Promote and manage profitable functions in the interests of customer satisfaction, enhancement of the company capabilities and, public relations.
• FRONT DESK - Manage a professional front desk which meets the interests of customer satisfaction, enhancement of the company capabilities and, public relations.
• HOUSEKEEPING AND MAINTENANCE - Maintain the property (building, equipment and furnishings) in a state of cleanliness and obvious appeal to accord with the theme of the property.
• OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH & SAFETY - Ensure the observation of all health and safety procedures and relevant common-sense practices at all times, in line with Duty of Care.
• FOOD & BEVERAGE PREPARATION, PRESENTATION AND SERVICE - Manage the kitchen operations to ensure excellence in food preparation, presentation and service, meeting customer requirements.
• LIQUOR SERVICE AND THE LEGISLATION - Ensure compliance with Liquor licensing requirements and Duty of Care responsibilities
• SECURITY - Maintain the property and processes in the appropriate ways to emphasise security and minimise all potential risks.

Skills and Experience:
• At least 3 years relevant working experience at Manager level.
• Excellent management and team leading skills.
• Excellent communication skills
