Queensland Cricket is seeking an experienced, passionate, and outcome focusedGeneral Manager - Community Cricket & Infrastructureto inspire the next generation of cricket players and grow cricket participation across all levels of the game in Queensland.
About the role
Reporting to the CEO and as a member of the QC Executive Leadership Team, the GM - Community Cricket & Infrastructure is responsible for successfully leading the department to drive sustainable participation growth in Qld. A particular focus is on creating safe and inclusive environments for 5 to 12 year olds to participate in the game while delivering a statewide infrastructure and facility network supporting growth and elite cricket.
Other key responsibilities will include:
- Drive the strategic direction of the Community Cricket department based on data analysis and lead the Community Cricket team to achieve strategic outcomes
- Enhance cricket's facilities footprint across Queensland
- Develop and lead a cross-functional, innovative, and effective department with the ability to apply an entrepreneurial approach to deliver on QC's strategic goals
- Providing regular updates to the Queensland Cricket Board and CEO on participation, diversity programs and strategic plan implementation
- Develop and manage the department budget
- Work collaboratively with Cricket Australia to shape national initiatives and ensure compliance with all Australian Cricket policies, procedures, and requirements
- Develop and enhance planning and department processes, policies and systems to ensure meeting of targets and efficient reporting
About you
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- 5+ years leadership experience in similar role with demonstrated success in delivering consistent and effective outcomes in the sporting and/or community organisation
- Strong analytical, communication, presenting, decision making, and engagement skills
- Demonstrated track record of leading change and delivering effective outcomes through well understood change management programs
- Organising, monitoring, and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders
- Experience leading and managing work teams to deliver high performance outcomes
- Ability to strategically plan, frame up decisions, and implement within the agreed timeframe
- A high level of understanding of community level sport, pathways and the Queensland education system
- A relevant tertiary qualification in business, sports management, or similar discipline
- Current Blue Card for working with children issued by Blue Card Services Queensland
