Let's talk about the role.
As the General Manager you are responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations. You will mentor, supervise, and lead a Community Services team to provide care and support for participants in a residential setting and day program setting. Reporting to the CEO, this role is a key member of the Executive Team and aims to provide strategic and operational direction and leadership of the Community Services Team.
You will have experience with:
- Developing and implementing strategic plans as they relate to the Community Services team.
- Leading and motivating a diverse team to deliver high quality services.
- Budget processes and funding sustainability.
- Effectively managing stakeholder relations with Government and Non-Government agencies, NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission and QCAT.
- Person centered planning, active supports and advocacy.
- Quality service provision that supports client well-being, safety and outcomes
- Embedding a culture of continuous improvement
- Building inclusive communities through partnership and collaboration with individuals and their carers, local organisations and the broader community.
- Developing networks and relationships with key organisations and stakeholders in the Disability services space.
An understanding of the following skills would be advantageous:
- Knowledge of National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and related billing procedures.
- Proficiency in conducting compliance checks and audits to ensure standards and guidelines are met.
To be successful in this role you will need:
- To be a dynamic leader who can work with their team to deliver a high quality service in a complex setting. You will have experience working with clients with behaviours of concern and a good understanding of Positive Behaviour Support Plans and Restrictive Practices.
- Minimum 5+ years in a similar role.
- Tertiary qualifications in a health or community related discipline and business and/or management
- Significant people leadership experience including the ability to motivate and influence others to deliver outcomes.
- Significant knowledge and understanding of NDIS with the ability to interpret and apply legislation to ensure Connect2Group meets its contractual and legal obligations.
- Demonstrated financial management skills with the ability to monitor budgets to plans.
