As Cruiseabout's General Manager you will be responsible for the establishment and performance of the Cruiseabout retail brand both online and in our shopfronts; you will also manage the growth in revenue and profit for the division.
This role reports directly to the Managing Director of Emerging Brands and will consist of regular interactions with all team managers and members within the wider Flight Centre Travel Group. Our ideal candidate will have a results-driven mindset, always leading by example, emphasizing vision and values, while excelling in problem-solving and analytical skills.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
Overall Strategic management of the Cruiseabout brand performance including but not limited to:
- Top Line Sales (Through both online and retail shopfronts and development of product strategy)
- Employee Management
- Customer Service and Delivery
- Marketing of brand and product
- Compliance with Company Policy
- Establishment of budget and 3 year Business Plan
- Demonstrated ability to strategically operate a retail network of stores as well as associated ecommerce sites
- Ability Influence policy and strategy formation. Influential relationships with internal and external customers, suppliers, partners at senior management levels, including industry leaders. Makes decisions with impact, achievement of organisational objects and financial performance
- Has a broad business understanding. Performs highly complex work activities covering all aspects of business management. Contributes to the implementation of policy and strategy
- Creatively applies a wide range of technical and/or management principles
- Absorbs complex information and communicates effectively at all levels. Manages and mitigates risk. Understands the implications of new market forces
- Demonstrates clear leadership
- Understands and communicates organisational developments and the role and impact of these within the business
- Promotes compliance with relevant legislation and company policy (Takes the initiative to keep both own and business skills up to date)
- Strong project management, organizational and time management skills
- Strong people management skills
- Degree Qualified
- Minimum 5 years in the travel industry preferred
- Previous leadership experience required
- Previous customer facing role preferred
