The role:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join a successful team as the General Manager of Sales. You will be responsible for leading the sales strategy and operations within the region, driving revenue growth, and expanding market presence.
You will possess strong leadership skills, a strategic mindset, and a deep understanding of the Queensland market. Exposure working in the technology sector is mandatory
Responsibilities: Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve business goals and revenue targets. Analyse market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities. Collaborate with the executive team to align sales strategies with overall company objectives. Lead, mentor, and manage the Queensland sales team, ensuring high levels of performance and engagement. Set clear performance expectations and provide regular feedback and coaching. Foster a positive and motivating work environment that encourages teamwork and professional growth. Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the customer base and increase market share. Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders. Develop and execute plans to enhance customer satisfaction and retention. Oversee day-to-day sales operations, including pipeline management, forecasting, and reporting. Develop and manage the sales budget for Queensland. Report on sales performance and key metrics to the executive team.
Background: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Technology, or a related field Proven experience in leading business development, sales, or related roles, with a focus on emerging technology products and services. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Strong track record of building and maintaining client relationships. Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to work in a cross-functional team. In-depth knowledge of technology trends and a passion for staying up to date with industry developments. Government sales experience is advantageous. You will be surrounded by a tenured, highly supportive senior executive team and given freedom to influence and capture market share.
