About the Opportunity
A rare chance to create sustainable ecommerce growth under the Dan Murphys brand through our digital channels. You will bring together capabilities across Dan Murphys and endeavourX to deliver and continuously evolve a leading end to end ecommerce experience and support the delivery of the Dan Murphy’s customer and brand plans by optimising and managing our digital media channels
A day in the life of a GM of Ecommerce @ Endeavour….
- Develop and lead the delivery and execution of the Dan Murphy’s Ecommerce strategy with a purpose of driving profitable growth and inspiring customers with the best-in-class omni-channel shopping experience.
- Be accountable to determine the eCommerce propositions the brand will offer and the settings for these (MOV, charging, limits, time frames etc) balancing customer and P&L outcomes and aligned to the group brand framework and identify growth opportunities across existing and future online customer propositions.
- Responsible for the eCommerce Voice of Customer (VOC) results and provides leadership in bringing together the relevant cross functional teams to continually improve the VOC outcomes and respond to customer feedback.
- Lead the Dan Murphy’s eCommerce squads who deliver the strategic and tactical business plans within the eCommerce Tribe and partner/influence other cross functional teams across the matrix who support in delivering the eCommerce strategy.
- Ongoing activation and evolution of the customer trade plan (everyday trading and delivery of services) via our digital channels in partnership with Marketing, Merchandise and Operations; growing IGP with better baskets through discovery, trend leadership and helping customers to ‘drink better’.
- Partner with endeavourX Product Tribes to define the technology & enhancement roadmap and product requirements that will deliver against the Dan Murphy’s eCommerce strategy and enhance the customer experience both online and in-store (e.g. MyDan’s App, fulfilment, pick-up).
- Work closely with the marketing team in embedding the brand expression and framework throughout our online channels and define the integrated search strategy (SEM & SEO) aligned to the overarching Dan Murphy’s priorities.
- Responsible for recommending the Dan Murphy’s eCommerce budgets in partnership with Finance and is accountable for the delivery of this result across the financial year.
- In partnership with Customer Insights, undertaking ongoing analysis of the eCommerce market and customer trends/data; provides thought leadership across the business on eCommerce best practice that drives penetration, sales, and ways to improve customer acquisition and retention across the business.
What you’ll need to succeed
- Degree qualified in Marketing, Commerce or equivalent degree
- 10+ years of digital and eCommerce experience
- Exceptional communication, influencing and presentation skills
- Strong financial literacy and P&L management experience
- Proven track record of delivering results across teams within a matrixed organisation
- Experience working with hybrid on and off-shore teams and technology partners to deliver exceptional results
- People Leadership - can identify, manage and develop talent, manage performance, create career paths and ensure diverse and robust succession plans.
- Experience in retail, working in agile or product lead organisations is highly desirable
