From the team behind the State Buildings Lawson Flats is a new kind of membership-based social club spanning three floors in one of the city’s last remaining Art Deco jewels.
Opening in February last year, Lawson Flats is equal parts health and hedonism. Our member community has access to a collection of rooms fit for work, life, and play with co-working spaces, karaoke and listening rooms, an art gallery, movement studios, and Luis’ bar and kitchen at its heart.

POSITION OVERVIEW
A rare opportunity has arisen for a talented and sophisticated hospitality professional to join our culturally attuned team, and focus both on operational excellence, and cultivating the community of Lawson Flats.
You will be a confident and ambitious individual with an exceptional taste level, brimming with great ideas (with the nous to implement them), and a love for getting things done. You will seek to continuously enhance the member experience through all that you do, and inspire your team to do the same.
The role seeks an exceptional leader, passionate about the hospitality industry and devoted to ensuring the happiness of our guests and team. You are a strategic, financially savvy thinker, and have a demonstrated history of service excellence - ideally in a high-end hotel or hospitality environment. You will have proven team management and motivation skills and possess the creative and commercial acumen that will deliver an efficient, and financially successful operation. You implicitly understand the importance of delivering five-star service, without the overly formal delivery that can come with it.
You will thrive in a fast-paced vibrant environment and be very personable with a drive to deliver excellence in all that you do. You will have at least ten years’ experience in a similar role with a strong passion for premium hospitality brands and experiences.
The Successful Candidate
o Minimum of 5 years management experience in a high-end hotel or club
o Exceptional guest service standards and ability to develop genuine relationships and connections with guests
o Skilled in technology and understanding the importance of customer relation management technology – experience with BPOS, Seven Rooms and CRM platforms highly desirable
o Deep knowledge of hotel/hospitality operations, including front desk management, housekeeping, maintenance, events and food and beverage services
o Strong experience in recruitment, onboarding, training and management of a professional and passionate hospitality team, recognising that our people make our club
o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with guests, staff, and vendors
o Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed
o Exceptional financial management skills including previous responsibility for all aspects of your P&L
o Experience in F&B Marketing and Events strategy planning, collaboration, and execution
