The Role
This is a strategic HR leadership role. You will mentor the HR team and engage with the Board and Executive Leadership Team to deliver the people outcomes of the strategic plan. The key objectives of the role are:
- General management, mentoring and leadership of the Human Resources function so that CareFlight can achieve its vision and mission with a culture of patient focus, as well as ensuring industry leading practices, efficient operations, and innovative initiatives.
- Strategic planning, budget planning and implementation, financial modelling, and support for the workforce component of tenders.
- Facilitate enabling strategies and processes to recruit, train and retain the national workforce.
Required Experience, Skills and Personal Attributes
Essential:
- 5 – 10 years’ experience in strategic human resource leadership with a strong ‘hands on’ focus.
- Demonstrated collaborative leadership style and management experience within a complex multi-disciplined and geographically dispersed workforce.
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of workplace relations and employment legislation to support the diverse range of employees.
- Excellent communication skills and experience in interpersonal and relationship management, with the ability to develop strategic partnerships with diverse stakeholders, maintain confidentiality and be a trusted advisor.
- Strong capacity to initiate and drive outcomes, manage change and sustainably plan for future needs of the organisation.
- Experience in financial modelling, budget preparation and support tender preparation.
- Need for travel to the NT or NSW (depending upon where based), and other locations as required, approximately one (1) week every two months.
Desirable:
- Experience working in an organisation with a large part time/casual workforce with the ability to develop and maintain productive relationships with, and gain the trust and support of, highly qualified, independently minded professionals.
- Industrial relations experience, particularly in relation to enterprise bargaining will be highly regarded.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in HR, IR or business management and/or relevant experience.
