About the role:
Reporting to the CEO, this business critical role is responsible for the overall clinical governance within the business and to ensure the business is and remains fully compliant with its obligations as an approved provider of residential aged care and disability services (NDIS).
The incumbent will be a member of the Quality Care Advisory Board.
Key Role Accountabilities:
- Ensuring all facilities are fully compliant in order that strategic and clinical, quality and compliance plans are achieved, and to ensure the highest standards of care;
- Strategic management of the organisations quality framework to ensure a strong industry reputation of providing high quality care is developed and compliance to accreditation standards is maintained;
- Manage and monitor clinical risks within the organisation through its clinical risk plan;
- Ongoing systematic review, development, implementation and monitoring of the Menarock Life Quality Management and Risk Strategy which will mimic best practice and meet relevant legislation, standards and policies.
- Collaborate with and provide advice and support to the Group Manager Clinical, Residential Managers and Group Manager Operations to ensure effective implementation and adherence to clinical, quality and education frameworks, continuous improvement, and the delivery of high-quality customer service to existing and potential future residents;
- Oversee and ensure all communications and documentation with the Aged Care Commission and the NDIS Commission, responding to all complaints and/or requests for information, and provide direct support during any unannounced visits.
The role will require a high level of consultation with the CEO, Directors, senior leadership team and Residential Managers to ensure service delivery improvements are identified, actioned, and maintained at a minimum to accreditation standards.
The role will require the incumbent to undertake travel to sites, as required, to review, audit, and support facility staff to meet key clinical, quality and compliance objectives and undertake relevant projects under the direction, consultation and guidance of the CEO as required.
About you:
- Registered Nurse.
- Significant experience in a senior Nurse Management role (including Residential Manager) in residential aged care with demonstrated knowledge of contemporary clinical, quality, and education policies, practices and frameworks.
- Experience in the Aged Care industry and a strong working knowledge of the Aged Care and NDIS regulatory framework, quality standards, principles and accreditation.
- Inspirational leadership style with the demonstrated ability to effectively coach and mentor staff to be their best.
- Strong planning, time management and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise.
- High level interpersonal, communication (written & verbal), presentation and negotiation skills including ability to liaise and negotiate with key stakeholders at all levels.
- Computer literate in Microsoft Office Packages and client database management.
