You will be responsible for the strategic leadership and management of key scientific aspects of FSANZ’s work now and into the future. As a member of FSANZ’s Executive team, you will also contribute to the overall strategic management of the organisation and shape our culture.
To be successful in the role you will have the ability to lead by exercising scientific and strategic leadership and judgement.
You will have high level executive and management skills and the ability to lead, manage and support a wide range of activities and the resilience and agility to manage several high-profile issues simultaneously.
You will be results-oriented including having a positive approach to issues resolution and a readiness to engage with risk, innovation and change.
The position demands considerable interactions with a diverse range of stakeholders including numerous Australian Government departments, Australia’s State and Territory agencies, agencies in New Zealand as well as with the private sector.
You will have strong people skills including high level ethical standards and the ability to create and maintain a working environment that enables optimum results, including motivating and inspiring high performance, morale, team cohesion and inclusivity.
