The Opportunity:
Our client actively seeks an experienced Head of Supply Chain and Logistics to lead their Supply Chain operations. This role is about more than just oversight; it's about innovation, strategic vision, and leadership. The chosen candidate will be the architect of their Supply Chain, tasked with ensuring the seamless production and delivery of critical safety products. Through expert planning, procurement, inventory management, and warehouse operations, this role will align each component with their core mission of safety and excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
Key responsibilities will include;

  • Develop and execute comprehensive Supply Chain strategies that align with their ambitious objectives, focusing on efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and scalability.
  • Use analytical skills to predict demand trends, optimizing inventory to meet customer needs while minimizing waste.
  • Lead procurement efforts strategically, from vendor selection to contract negotiations, ensuring partnerships with suppliers who share a commitment to quality and timely delivery.
  • Implement control procedures to maintain product availability and cost efficiency, overseeing warehouse operations to maintain safety and precision.
  • Set and monitor KPIs to assess and improve Supply Chain performance, fostering continuous improvement to maintain operational excellence.
  • Ensure Supply Chain activities are aligned with overall business goals through effective cross-team collaboration and communication.
About You
You hold a bachelor's degree in business or a related field, with 10-12 years of progressive experience in Supply Chain management, preferably within a manufacturing context. Your expertise spans various geographies, especially in Asia and North America, showcasing a strong background in planning, demand forecasting, procurement, and warehouse management. Your analytical thinking skills are complemented by your ability to perform data analysis, Supply Chain modelling, and financial impact analysis.

Leadership is in your DNA, backed by exceptional communication skills and a track record of driving process improvements across multidisciplinary teams. You have a solid understanding of the regulations, compliance requirements, and safety standards pertinent to the mining and construction sectors. Certifications in Supply Chain management and a willingness to travel for business engagements further highlight your suitability for this role.
