Robert Half Executive Search (RH ES) has been exclusively retained by a pre-eminent Building enterprise to appoint a well networked accomplished General Manager (GM) to lead one of its growing divisions.
Relied upon for its high-quality home designs and with a strong pipeline of work, our client continues to deliver strong growth and be a recognised market leader.
You will become a key member of a driven and collegiate leadership team poised to continue increasing market share. Aligned with the enterprise's aggressive growth strategy, you will lead a multi-facet / multi-site team across Sales, Operations and Building teams, with a focus on delivering increased sales, operational rigour and outstanding customer experience.
The Role
Reporting to the CEO, as GM, you will be responsible for driving growth across sales, building and revenue. In addition, you will be an innovative thinker with the skills to build and present business cases and maximise on new opportunities to grow the organisation's footprint.
The role's focus will be to grow the regional performance and provide team leadership through delivering against some of the capabilities outlined below ;
- Proficiency in managing a full P/L business.
- Demonstrated experience in leading building teams across multiple locations.
- Budgetary control and management through the entire building life cycle.
- Demonstrate aptitude and understanding of contractual terms and conditions, legal and financial requirements in the building industry.
- Manage, monitor, and ensure contracts performance against plan.
- Significant new Homes Sales experience demonstrating an ability to manage; lead and grow multi-location Sales teams.
- Display an ability to lead, manage and motivate the team to maximise revenue outcome.
Your Profile
You will be an accomplished, engaging and high energy General Manager. A leader with a track record of demonstrable success in driving sales growth, having full P/L responsibility and leading high performance teams within the Home Building, Building Materials and/or Construction industry.
You will bring extensive experience in the Residential Home Building sector with an intimate knowledge of the Building Code of Australia.
You have demonstrable operational, commercial and sales experience with the ability to review and develop strategies around opening new markets to drive growth, combining strong financial, sales and IT skillsets with professional behaviour. You have the confidence to work decisively and autonomously, can inspire and lead teams within a multi-site business environment.
