General Medical Registered Nurse | Northern Territory

The hospital has 209 beds and a 24 hour emergency department, providing the major trauma response centre for the region.

We have roles in both the Medical East and Medical West Wards available.

Medical East is a vibrant, fast paced acute care medical ward with 25 beds, catering for low acuity cardiac, stroke and other conditions requiring cardiac monitoring and acute and long-term management of medical conditions.

Though predominantly medical, MEE also care for patients from other departments such as renal, surgical, orthopaedic, Alcohol and other drugs, Gynaecology and mental health.

Medical West comprises 22 beds and has the ability to flex up to 24beds. MEW Caters for Acute and Chronic Diseases in Respiratory, Cardiac, Endocrine, Autoimmune and Aging. There are four medical teams working in partnership with Nursing, Aboriginal Liaison and Allied Health. Clinical support includes a Nurse Educator Specialist, Nurse Specialist Management, Complex Case Co-ordinator and Ward Pharmacist.

To be eligible for this position you must:

• Be currently registered with AHPRA with no restrictions
• Fully vaccinated for COVID
• Have a minimum of 6 months recent General Medical RN experience
• Have all Nursing core competencies complete or the willingness to complete prior to your commencement
