What do you need to apply
- Previous experience as a Practice Nurse desirable but not essential
- Completion of Understanding Vaccines and the National Immunisation Program (mandatory)
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Clear understanding of Practice Management systems
- Chronic Disease management
- Triage processes
- Provide evidenced based nursing care, Health Promotion and Maintenance
- Liaise with the multi-disciplinary team
- Ensure patient and staff safety
- Competent wound management skills
- Diagnostic procedures e.g. Blood pressure monitoring , ECG , Spirometry
- Assisting doctors with surgical procedures e.g. dressing, excisions
- Stock management and cold chain management
- Venipuncture
- Must have current unconditional registration with AHPRA and have minimum 12 months experience as a Nurse.

Nightcliff is located 15 minutes from Darwin and boasts a long pathway running along the foreshore that is used for walking and cycling and goes to the Nightcliff Jetty, beach and swimming pool.
The Nightcliff markets occur on Sunday’s, with an array of food and drinks to sample along with live bands to enjoy. Nightcliff is a popular suburb situated on the coastal fringe, which sees amazing sunrise and sunsets full of spectacular colours.
The Darwin area has a population of approximately 120,500 people, with a multicultural mix highlighted by many exciting cultural festivals and weekly food and craft markets, with so much to see and do.
NT PHN/RWA NT may be able to offer support and financial assistance to health professionals who are relocating to the NT or moving within the NT to a greater remoteness area classification for the purposes of employment and further clinical education.
