Due to its expanding growth, an exciting and unique opportunity exists for a General Practice Lawyer with at least 2 Years PAE to join our brand new office in South Melbourne.
Ellinghaus Weill specialises in Wills and Estates, Family Law, Sale and Purchase of Business, Court Litigation, Liquidation, Commercial Law and Bankruptcy & Conveyancing.

The successful candidate will:
- Be an admitted solicitor with the ability to practise;
- Have solid 2 Years PAE (minimum) experience in General Practice;
- Have the ability to work autonomously on Civil Litigation and General Practice files to a high level and manage client requirements & expectations;
- Have knowledge about most State and Federal Court and VCAT procedures as well as the use of all Court electronic filing systems;
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft and various file sharing platforms;
- Have exceptional communication skills;
- Have a positive attitude and a team player;
- Be proactive in their approach; and
- Have good attention to detail.
The role will involve undertaking the following tasks, including but not limited to:
- Preparing pleadings and Court documents to be filed with Court;
- Preparing correspondence and letters of demand together with various other correspondences;
- Reviewing and drafting written/oral advice;
- Attending to Court matters and working on small to large scale litigation;
- Negotiation of commercial outcomes;
- Attending client meetings and obtaining instructions;
- Attending mediations and settlement conferences;
- Attending at Court with and without counsel
Salary commensurate with experience.
