Job Description: We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated solicitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the law, strong analytical abilities, and excellent communication skills.  As a General Practice Solicitor, you will handle a diverse range of legal matters, provide advice and representation to our clients across various practice areas while gaining invaluable knowledge from senior lawyers.

CML Lawyers practice in many areas of law including construction, family law, property law, commercial, business law, insolvency, wills and estates and commercial litigation.

We encourage solicitors with all levels of experience to apply (including graduates).  Salary will be based on experience of candidate.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct legal research and analysis to provide accurate and timely advice to clients.
• Draft and review legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and pleadings.
• Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, and court proceedings.
• Manage a caseload independently, while also collaborating with colleagues on complex matters.
• Provide comprehensive legal support and guidance to clients on a wide range of issues, including but not limited to 
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, demonstrating empathy, professionalism, and integrity at all times.

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent research, analytical and problem solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proven ability to manage a diverse caseload efficiently and effectively.
• Commitment to providing high-quality legal services with integrity and professionalism.

Location

We have offices in Cowra and Sydney. The role is based in Cowra, however you can work in the Sydney office when required.

Cowra is located in the Lachlan River Valley 4 hours’ drive from the Sydney CBD and 2 hours from Canberra. It is a beautiful country town with good schools and services and offers a relaxed country lifestyle.
