About you
- Appointment to this position requires proof of specialist registration as a Specialist General Practitioner with the Medical Board of Australia. Certified copies of the relevant registration must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager at the time of application.
- A primary medical degree and Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP), or the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (FACRRM) is required.
- A demonstrated strong interest in Sexual Health and HIV and the following additional qualifications would be highly regarded:
- ASHM HIV s100 prescriber course
- ASHM Hepatitis B s100 prescriber course
- ASHM Hepatitis C s100 prescriber course
- FPAA course (Family Planning Alliance of Australia National Certificate in Reproductive Health)
- The successful applicant must have Scope of Clinical Practice (SoCP) awarded by a Metro North Health Medical Officer Credentialing and SoCP committee. Information presented for application will be presented to the committee during the selection process, and all appointments are subject to maintenance of SoCP within the CSCF for the facilities in which clinical work is to be undertaken. This process must be completed prior to commencement.
