The Opportunity
Newstead Mazda is seeking a dedicated Sales Manager, with a person-centred approach to lead and oversee our Sales Department. This crucial role will suit someone who can inspire a team, demonstrate accountability, give and receive feedback and respect and value relationships. You will be supported by a Dealer Principal, who shares your dedication and passion for leadership and business.

At the helm of our Brand new, state-of-the-art facility, you will be a strong advocate for our company values. You will be known for executing strategies that deliver high returns for our staff, our customers, our manufacturer, and our shareholders. You will be recognised for nurturing our philosophy, “Experience Amazing” within the Sales Department culture & customer experience.
You will demonstrate expertise in developing innovative ways of driving our business to the next level, while continuing to enhance the Customer Experience and exceed business KPIs. You will personally lead Sales training and team development with high energy and charisma.

About You
- Experience as an Automotive General Sales Manager is highly regarded for success in this role
- Previous Mazda Experience is a strong advantage
- Knowledge of dealership Pentana DMS systems is an advantage
- Previous DealerSocket experience is an advantage
- A strong business acumen
- Ability to lead, manage and further develop all levels of staff, whilst maintaining a cohesive team spirit
- The ability to work well under pressure and be prepared to dedicate the necessary hours in order to succeed
- Proven leader with a mindset focused on our customers, staff engagement & exceeding KPI’s (customer, financial, OEM & internal)
- A hands-on, proactive presence, that encourages and motivates their team
- Commitment to driving robust processes and managing change
- Exemplary communication and proactive customer service
- Ability to prioritise and manage your time
- Sound understanding of marketing
Key Responsibilities
- Understanding the OEM and the business purpose and vision
- Ability to achieve and exceed internal targets, Manufacturer expectations and KPI's
- Ensuring that monthly business plans reflect the opportunity across our key pillars (MSI, Car Care, Finance, Sales Objectives/GP, Accessories)
- Daily reporting
- Regular review on Sales Log
- Managing online stock levels and pricing
- Ensuring we deliver consistent outstanding customer satisfaction, which is reflected in our MSI scores
- Monthly performance reviews with your team
- Managing your teams Kronos Timecards, RDO's and Annual Leave effectively
- Ensuring all team members qualify for Mazda Guild and the Business achieves Mazda Master Dealer
- Effective Stock Management
- Monthly Marketing Strategy meetings with our Marketing team
- Adaptability to changing technology, processes, markets and the economy
