The role
The General Manager, Sales – QLD / NZ is based at Brendale, QLD. Reporting the Executive General Manager – Masonry & Insulation, you will be an experienced, highly commercial, seasoned sales leader with strong leadership and people development skills and a track record in delivering and growing sales revenue targets. In this role you will:
- Lead the development and execution of CSR and division business objectives in line with strategic direction across Queensland and New Zealand.
- Deliver budgeted sales revenue, asp, margin, EBIT, DSO and cash flow
- Implement strategic sales, marketing plans and customer account plans.
- Develop and manage critical business growth opportunities and strategic customer relationships.
- Budgeting, Forecasting, S&OP.
- Effective member of the M&I Senior Leadership Team.
- Conducts complex negotiations at senior management level.
- Maintain and grow channels to market.
- Collaborate with external and internal stakeholders including other General Manager's within CSR across the business.
- Lead the QLD and NZ business for performance.
- Competitor and market analysis.
- Comply with WHSE authorities.
What you bring to the role
- Appropriate tertiary qualifications, e.g. business, commerce, marketing.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in general management.
- Minimum of 10 years' experience in senior sales roles.
- A successful career managing an industrial business.
- P&L responsibility and financial accountability for significant revenues – above $100 million.
- Managed diverse teams – 50+ staff.
- Been successful in a Matrix organization.
- Construction materials manufacturing industry experience highly regarded.
- Built strategic customer relationships and implemented defined account plans.
- A collaborative person, comfortable working within the Senior Leadership Team and actively engaging with the Executive Leadership Team.
- Success in a broad role with multifaceted responsibilities including critical factors such as supply, transport logistics, supply chain.
- Utilised sales/ business technology such as CRM, COM, IBP.
