Generation Mechanical Technician (Operator)
Joining our team means you’ll be part of something that really matters. As our Generation Mechanical Technician (Operator) you will be based in Carnarvon and responsible for maintaining Generation Assets in accordance with corporate and divisional systems and frameworks to deliver safe, reliable and quality power supply within approved Operational Budgets.
Your role will include:
• Ensuring Generation Assets are maintained and operated in line with agreed plans, standards and processes statutory regulations and Horizon Power policy and procedure requirements.
• Ensuring Asset performance is aligned with divisional and corporate performance objectives.
• Contributing to the development of Generation Asset Management Plan.
• Providing technical support for generation activities.
• Carrying out hands on maintenance, repairing and replacement of generation assets, components and related equipment.
• Identifying, sourcing and procuring in accordance with Horizon Powers procurement policies, parts, materials and tooling to complete required works.
You will have:
• A relevant Australian Mechanical Trade Qualification.
• Must possess WA Driver’s Licence Class ‘C’.
• WorkSafe Whitecard/Bluecard.
• 1st Aid & CPR.
• Perform Rescue from A Live LV Panel.
• Preferably 5 to 10 years hands on experience in the maintenance and operation of reciprocating diesel and gas fueled power stations or similar role in heavy industry.
• Working knowledge of maintenance planning, scheduling, and work order job flow in a Utility/ Generation environment.
