Fortescue's Solomon mine is located on the traditional lands of the Eastern Guruma and Yindjibarndi peoples
Roster: 8 days on, 6 days off
Fortescue are currently looking for an experienced Disposals Officer to join the team at Solomon mine site
Key Responsibilities- Lead on site projects to ensure that project objectives that are set by the Disposal Supervisor and Disposals Superintendent are achieved
- Safely conduct the removal or relocation of assets and inventory from sites to the required destination
- Assists with disposal of capital assets including MM, LV, Rail, Fixed Plant, as well as obsolete Inventory and surplus Inventory
- Picking from inventory within the warehouse and external yards
- Ensure all parts dispatched are clean from any contaminants, without defect, correct quantity, and the description matches inventory review sheets
- Packing picked items into cages / containers for dispatch
- Work in laydown areas in isolation preparing goods for dispatch
- Data entry into spreadsheets
- Previous experience working in a Warehousing or Disposals Officer role
- Previous Resource / Mining or Energy / Utility Sector Experience is essential
- Experience working in a Projects setting would be advantageous
- Previous experience using SAP would be advantageous
- Good level of computer literacy
- Ability to work autonomously with minimal direction
- Ability to complete labour intensive tasks
- Must be fit and able to lift heavy items (20 Kg +)
- Proficient with a range of hand and power tools
- Western Australian Driver's License "C" Class - Manual
- High Risk ticket including Forklift up to 16T and Telehandler advantageous.
- Recent Forklift experience including Electric high reach forklift
