Job Description The Opportunity We are seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to provide ongoing support to the Duketon underground mining operations, by facilitating timely delivery of geotechnical mapping and analysis. Although this role is primarily focused on our underground operations, collaboration with our open pit operations is encouraged. This is a FIFO role, working on an 8:6 roster (ex Perth). About the Role Geotechnical mapping, core logging and training of Mine Geologists in geotechnical data collection, standards and database management; Monitor and track progress of geotechnical mapping to ensure timely recording of geotechnical information; Undertake geotechnical stability assessments and compile brief technical reports; Assist in the review, development and implementation of ground support systems and relevant site procedures; and Support the Geotechnical Principal in carrying out geotechnical investigations, analysis and information gathering as required. Desired Skills and Experience About You Formal tertiary qualification in mining, geology or civil engineering; Demonstrate at least two years relevant experience; Experience with Rocscience software programmes (or similar) preferred; Past experience and/or knowledge of geomechanics principles; Well developed communication skills, both oral and written; and Work both autonomously and within a team environment.
