  • Based in Sydney’s Northwest, nearby the metro and parking onsite with work from home opportunities.
  • Full time or can also consider 4 days a week.
  • Incredible charity making a real impact on vulnerable and disadvantaged communities.
  • Be hands on whilst having strategic oversight to build a Gifts in Wills program that has the support of the Board, senior leaders, and the financial investment to grow.
About the Role:

Reporting to the Head of Fundraising & Marketing and working together with a skilled fundraising team, this position will play an integral role in developing and driving a Gifts in Wills Program that is in its infancy. With the full support and investment from the Board and senior leaders, as well as a successful partnership with the incredible team at Donor Republic, this role is set up for success to reach ambitious fundraising targets to support some of the most vulnerable communities, offering hope to individuals living with disadvantage and distress.

As the Gifts in Wills Manager, you will shape and implement the strategy, leverage strong relationship skills to inspire new bequests and donors, as well as continue to nurture long standing relationships with existing donors through the development and implementation of a targeted program which will identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward. Imperative to this role will be your ability to work with internal and external stakeholders to implement the strategy with a core focus on a thriving Gifts in Wills Program, as well as identify and support with major donor stewardship.
This is an amazing opportunity for a fundraiser to step into this newly created role and build on a program that has full potential to succeed and make long-lasting impact in the community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a strategy to grow the Gifts in Wills program and increase confirmed bequests.
  • Build and maintain relationships with existing and prospective bequestors, solicitors, and other stakeholders.
  • Coordinate marketing and communication activities to promote the Gifts in Wills program, including newsletters, events, and campaigns.
  • Monitor and report on the performance and impact of the Gifts in Wills program.
  • Support with identifying, researching, and cultivating potential major donors using a donor-centric approach and tailored proposals.
  • Manage existing major donors by providing regular updates, feedback, and recognition.
  • Support the Events Manager with the planning and execution of the annual Gala Ball as well as identifying potential corporate partners including tailoring proposals.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
  • Proven success implementing or developing relationship fundraising strategies to drive the growth of a fundraising stream.
  • Strong donor management experience and the desire to build trusted and long-term connections with supporters on varying levels.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to tailor messaging to a variety of audiences.
  • High level stakeholder management skills and ability to establish collaborative and sustainable relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience in planning and executing successful fundraising events.
  • Excellent time management, administrative and organisational skills with the ability to plan workload, prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and report on metrics through the CRM.
  • The ability to think creatively, pitch ideas and develop new initiatives.
  • High levels of empathy and compassion.
  • Demonstrated commitment to teamwork, continuous development, and knowledge sharing with the enthusiasm to exemplify the foundation's values that promote integrity, compassion, innovation, collaboration, and impact.
