The Role

This is a BRAND NEW role charged with leading the initial development and launch to market of Oroton's Corporate offering and sales. In this role you will have full accountability for creating and driving sales to Corporates via our Corporate Gifting offering. As part of the new Gifting Division, you will be in the launch team dedicated to driving the success of this new channel. As we continue to invest and evolve in this category we are investing in product developers and engaging with new partners to build out a gifting range that will continue to grow in the years ahead - an exciting new evolution of the Oroton story, 85 years young.

Initially the role will be a 12 month contract, with opportunity to extend based on targets met.

Key responsibilities include: 

  • Developing medium to long-range sales plans and preparing strategies to protect, grow, and diversify relationships with customers and partners
  • Building a sales pipeline of potential customers, and proactively targeting agreed industries
  • Acting as brand ambassador and first point of contact for corporate customers and partners, resolving problems and delivering exceptional customer experiences that are aligned with our brand purpose and values
  • Reviewing and reporting on customer retention, business opportunities, competitor activity and market trends
  • Partnering with Marketing and E-comm teams in house to create assets and comms tools that support the growth of this new sales channel
  • Organizing sales events to engage and sell to potential new clients
  • Setting up and working with IT to create an efficient order process for our corporate customers
  • Setting up and working with 3PL partners to deliver a seamless delivery experience
  • Partnering with Logistics and Production teams to establish brand positioning and options for packaging, and delivery experiences that meet objectives
  • Representing Oroton as the key contact for all corporate clients 

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • 5 years + strong sales experience and track record of setting and achieving sales budgets 
  • Experience in B2B sales within a premium offering in industries such as Real Estate, Hotels, Hospitality, Conferences would be a plus
  • Experience in a small start up environment where you are responsible for driving your own calendar and able to work autonomously would be a great foundation
  • The desire to be a changemaker - someone comfortable in ambiguity and working within businesses in aggressive growth phases  
  • Existing relationships within the desired customer segments in the description above is highly desired but not essential
  • Demonstrable track record of devising sales-enhancing strategies that meet business objectives
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and base level understanding of eCommerce integrations and systems 
  • Excellent organizational skills, a multi-tasker with analytical & problem solving skills
  • Outstanding communication skills, strong stakeholder management approach to achieve business outcomes in a collaborative and dynamic environment
