About the Opportunity:
Our SA Team of experts is based in Adelaide’s CBD. We continue to grow and develop and with this in mind, we are searching for an experienced GIS Analyst to join our talented team.
The position is responsible for the provision of GIS support, mapping and spatial analysis services to environmental approvals, ecology, hydrogeology, and bushfire projects. Tasks will generally involve spatial data creation, data management, spatial analysis, map production and other project outputs. Additionally, project management, report writing, tender preparation, general project assistance and some field work may also be required. Our local team of multidisciplinary experts and national team of GIS specialists will be there to support you all the way.
You will work collaboratively with internal and external specialists across a range of disciplines to produce high quality outputs that meet the needs of our clients. We will provide you with opportunities to further broaden your expertise in a supportive environment, working together to achieve milestones, while encouraging initiative and collaboration at all stages.
About you:

To be successful you will also have:
- Tertiary qualifications in GIS, Environmental Science or Natural Resource Management or substantial experience in lieu of tertiary qualifications.
- 3 (minimum) to 7 years’ experience in a GIS focused role using ArcGIS or ArcPro.
- Demonstrated, high-level skills and experience using ArcGIS.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Sound project management and time management skills.
- Ability to build and nurture internal and external relationships, provide GIS support across simultaneous projects, and deliver required outputs within budget and time deadlines; and
- Efficient problem-solving skills and ability to work independently when required.
Desirable attributes include:
- Previous consulting experience, particularly in an environmental consultancy.
- Experience in (or industry knowledge of) environmental science, ecology, bushfire, heritage, or land and water management.
- Knowledge of the SA environmental approvals processes is also desirable.
- Experience with remote sensing, aerial photograph interpretation and vegetation mapping.
- Experience supporting field projects with mobile data collection tools such as Collector; and
- Experience with other GIS platforms such as ENVI and QGIS.
