Job description

Join a global producer of sustainable, distributed energy helping the world transition from traditional energy sources to decarbonised solutions

EDL owns and operates a global portfolio of power stations in Australia, North America, and Europe. EDL is playing a key role in the world’s transition from traditional energy sources to decarbonised solutions. Their purpose is to provide better energy solutions for the benefit of our world. With around 600 employees globally, EDL is making a difference in protecting the world’s environment.

EDL has an exceptional safety record and takes pride in their values and contemporary diversity policy. EDL strives for an inclusive and diverse workforce, acknowledging that people are critical to their success. EDL is committed to a number of national programs and supports many charities and communities that enhance people's lives.

Due to continued business growth, EDL is in a period of exciting change and new initiatives. As a result, we are looking to appoint a Global HSE Training Specialist to play a key role in developing, implementing and improving robust HSE training and induction requirements globally.
This is a newly created position reporting to the Global HSE Training & Compliance Manager, and key deliverables include;
  • Engagement with multiple internal stakeholders across EDL’s national and international business.
  • Develop, review and write global company health & safety training packages.
  • Facilitate and conduct face-to-face and online training programs across EDL’s international and national sites and corporate offices.
  • Continuous improvement in training requirements as per international training requirements, best practice and legal compliance.
  • Revamping existing Global Training Needs Analysis (TNA) and developing an internal Assessment of Competency (AOC) program.
  • Engagement with external training vendors on the delivery of specialised safety training programs.
To be considered for this rare, global position, you will have;
  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety or similar, and a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
  • Proven experience in writing, developing and implementing HSE training packages. Experience using Articulate software is highly desirable.
  • Proven ability to maintain, build and grow exceptional working relationships with internal stakeholders and be a true value-add internal business partner.
  • A blend of site and corporate experience within an HSE environment of high-risk activities.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working with online Learning Management System software.
On offer is a market-competitive salary package and flexible hybrid work arrangements. This is the chance to work for a dynamic, supportive organisation that understands the true value of communication and people engagement and is committed to HSE across their global business.
