We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Specialist Training to join our team. The Specialist Training will play a pivotal role in in ensuring corporate governance standards are upheld through the design and delivery of training programs that emphasise compliance and risk prevention.

BCI Minerals Limited (ASX:BCI) is an Australian owned mineral resources company with salt and potash as its initial focus. A future Tier One project, Mardie has been designed to produce 5.35Mtpa of high-purity salt and 140ktpa of Sulphate of Potash (SOP).

Using an inexhaustible seawater resource and 99% of the energy required produced by natural solar and wind energy, our Mardie project is a multi-generational sustainable opportunity that will supply the growing chemical, renewable energy, and agricultural industries with Salt and Sulphate of Potash for generations to come.

The Role

The Training Specialist collaborates with various departments to identify training needs aligned with corporate governance objectives, ensuring employees possess the necessary skills and knowledge to adhere to regulatory requirements and mitigate organisational risks effectively. Leveraging upon instructional design and adult learning principles, the Training Specialist assists with the development of engaging training materials and to deliver comprehensive learning and compliance packages tailored to address compliance and risk management challenges within the organisation.

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify training needs across different departments and levels within the organisation.
  • Maintenance of Operations TNA.
  • Collaborate with department heads and stakeholders to gather input on training requirements and priorities.
  • Assist with the development of training materials (where applicable), including presentations, manuals, videos, and e-learning modules, tailored to meet the identified needs.
  • Provide support, mentoring and coaching for on the job Trainer and Assessors and training administrator.
  • Utilise instructional design principles and adult learning methodologies to create engaging and effective training content.
  • Develop assessment tools and evaluation mechanisms to measure the effectiveness of training programs.
  • Designing and developing training packages to meet area operational plans, based on skills needs analysis, training needs analysis and gap closure.
  • Generating and analysing training data.
  • Gather feedback from participants and stakeholders to continuously improve training content and delivery methods.
  • Manage the organisation's LMS, including course creation, enrolment, and tracking of training activities.
  • Ensure the LMS is up-to-date with relevant training materials and resources.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and advancements in training and development.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to enhance existing training programs and introduce new initiatives to address evolving organisational needs.
  • Manage the organisation's LMS, including course creation, enrolment, and tracking of training activities.

About You

The Specialist Training role requires a minimum of 5 years' demonstrated experience in Specialist Training roles. The ideal candidate will hold a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and possess a strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies. Proficiency in various training tools and technologies, including LMS platforms and multimedia authoring software, is desirable.

They must demonstrate high levels of attention to detail and have the ability to thrive in complex team environments. Knowledge of training and learning management systems is essential.

You must have current unrestricted working rights for Australia to be eligible for consideration.
