About the role
We are delighted to announce that we are inviting applications for the role of Global Talent Acquisition Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for leading a global team of Talent professionals who are responsible for attracting and retaining top talent by identifying talent needs, developing effective sourcing strategies, and building relationships with external partners and talent communities.
Your role will drive adoption of best practice Talent Acquisition strategies, deliver initiatives to support best in class Talent Acquisition practices, lead the continued roll out of Employer Branding activations, and identify opportunities to leverage new technologies.
To be successful in this role, you will bring a background in global recruitment or talent leadership roles, a passion for problem solving and strong commercial acumen. This is a key leadership role within the team, where exceptional communication, influencing and development skills are required.
What you will be doing
- Refine and refresh the global end-to-end recruitment process for all positions, ensuring hiring managers have the necessary support and resources to attract and hire top talent.
- Manage and coach a team of recruitment professionals, providing guidance, feedback, and support to drive their performance and professional growth.
- Foster a culture of inclusive hiring by implementing inclusive talent management practices and collaborating with HR and business leaders to develop and execute diversity programs.
- Collaborate with the HR team and stakeholders to build and enhance our Employee Value Proposition (EVP), reflecting our culture, values, and strategic priorities.
- Oversee key hiring activities, including graduate campaigns, operational campaigns globally, leveraging best practices.
- Enhance Orica's brand awareness among target talent pools through effective employer brand marketing strategies tailored to key geographical markets and talent needs.
- Identify and implement operational improvements to strengthen hiring practices, including disciplined process management, unbiased sourcing and selection practices.
- Lead and develop a culture in accordance with the Orica's Charter Values and Leadership Behaviors.
What you will bring
- A track record of having achieved success in a similar Talent Acquisition or recruitment role for a complex/matrixed, global organisation.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Ability to understand business objectives and translate them into effective talent strategies.
- Strong skills in data analysis, metrics tracking and reporting, and using analytics to guide decision making with a focus on enhancing hiring practices.
- Experience in building and/or refining an Employee Value Proposition (EVP)
- In-depth knowledge of inclusive hiring practises and diversity initiatives.
- An enthusiasm for the future of talent including new technologies like AI and AR.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, including prioritisation, planning, task delegation, and coordination across multiple regions.
