A great opportunity for an experienced Governance Delegate to join this busy team for a long term 12-month temporary assignment.About the role:
- Being a key FOI delegate responsible for FOI internal reviews and IC reviews, processing complex and sensitive FOI matters, ensuring they are created, processed, recorded and closed correctly on all databases in accordance with the FOI Act.
- Reviewing, amending or developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and policies, template documents and other governance documents to assist with consistent decision making within the team in consultation with other FOI and PIA delegates.
- Coordinating and providing training in FOI and PIA within the team as well as providing outreach and training within the NDIA to increase business area understanding about their responsibilities in relation to the processing of FOIs and PIAs.
- Preparing and contributing to a range of other material including briefing material for Ministers, Board papers, media releases, reports to Parliamentary committees, and correspondence.
- Supporting the development of systems, processes and practical tools including delivering training to support FOI and PIA handling and awareness.
- Assisting with allocations and triage and making PIA decisions as a PIA delegate where required.
- You will have excellent written and oral communication skills, and proficiency in the use of IT systems including Microsoft Office
- You will have experience in building relationships both with internal and external stakeholders.
- You will have ability to work within and across teams, the ability to adapt quickly to a changing environment.
- You will have ability to manage confidential and sensitive information.
- You will have ability to delegate task.
- You will have ability to prioritise and allocate tasks in an efficient manner while also maintaining high work standards and accuracy.
- ASAP start (pending Federal Police Clearance)
- 12-month temporary assignment with the possibility of extension
- Full time hours Monday to Friday
- Geelong and Brisbane Locations + hybrid working from home options.
- $26 per hour + Super.
