We currently have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as Governance Policy & Project Officer.
Key responsibilities of the position include:
- Undertaking research, analysis and consultation in the development and implementation of Council’s Governance Framework
- Develop and implement an organisational Policy Management Framework that supports consistent policy development.
- Maintain Council’s policies and procedures register and supports policy development and review.
- Undertakes project work to improve systems and processes and strengthen organisational knowledge of governance principles and practices.
The successful applicant will have:
- Sound knowledge of corporate governance, preferably in Local Government or similar.
- Knowledge of policy, relevant legislation and Public Officer responsibilities.
- Experience in a governance advisor role with an ability to identify and progress improvement initiatives.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Sound judgement and be politically astute.

This is a Level 5 position which has a current salary range of $100,784 - $105,336 per annum (plus superannuation).
