About the role:
The Project Officer Circular Economy Policy will assist with thedevelopment and implementation of Circular Economy strategy andmetrics for the State.
As a requirement under the Green Industries SA Act2004, the State Waste Strategy supports South Australia totransition to a low waste generation and Circular Economy. It alsosupports the State to become net zero and nature positive. Whilethe current Strategy identifies waste and zero avoidable landfilltargets, the next Strategy is envisioned to go much further intothe identification of circular actions including designing outwaste, reduce, reuse, repair, recycle and other high order circulareconomy activities.
This role will also assist with the delivery of a State ofCircularity report that identifies and populates relevant circulareconomy metrics to support the transition to a Circular Economy inSouth Australia.
We are looking for someone with the ability to build andmaintain relationships with stakeholders from other organisations,including Commonwealth, State and local government, industry andnot for profit will also be an important feature of this role.
This role is being offered at the ASO6 level for a two yearcontract.
