About the Role | Governance, Process and Controls Specialist
We are currently assisting the Manager of Enterprise Governance and Control in securing an experienced Governance, Process and Controls Specialist to join their team and make a key contribution to an organisation that is on an ambitious and exciting growth trajectory.
As the Governance, Process and Controls Specialist, you will play an integral role in providing advice and support, ensuring the maintenance, monitoring, and enhancement of the organisation’s streamlined governance management framework. This role is pivotal in driving compliance assurance and fostering continuous improvement for a cost-competitive service delivery.
Your key deliverable is to take charge of, or support activities related to critical governance topics, such as whistleblower investigations, conflict of interest guidance, and other ethics-related areas. You will develop and sustain a contemporary, risk-based compliance methodology, complete with a reporting framework to facilitate the escalation of key issues to management. Generate and write reports, including those for Committees/Boards, as required to communicate key information effectively.
This role offers flexibility, you will have the opportunity to work 50-50 in the office and from home, providing you with a balanced and adaptable work environment to suit your life and career goals and needs.
About You
- Internal audit experience supporting large and complex organization
- Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, coupled with a keen eye for detail, and proficiency in influencing and negotiating
- Proven leadership capabilities that drive efficient and impactful enhancements in performance, contributing to enterprise-wide governance improvements
- Whistleblowing or investigating conflicts of interest and fraud is highly desirable
- Thrives in challenging and dynamic environments, leveraging complexity to identify opportunities and deliver business' and people focused solutions
- Exceptional influential and relationships building skills, business acumen and presentation ability, adept at building strong internal and external stakeholder relationships across diverse stakeholders ranging from truck drivers to C-suite executives
- High-level critical thinking and problem-solving skills, coupled with excellent corporate documentation development and presentation abilities
- Demonstrates creative thinking and adaptability, showing initiative and flexibility with a solution-oriented mindset
