The Role:
Applications are invited from suitable experienced Grade 2 Physiotherapist to join the Home and Centre based Community Rehabilitation team at Northern Health.
This position is fixed term part time (46 hours per fortnight) until 5 March 2025
The Grade 2 Physiotherapist will provide leadership and ensure high level, evidence-based physiotherapy care to patients across Northern Health. The role includes the organisation, implementation, development and supervision of physiotherapy care and the promotion of best practice. Areas of clinical work includes primarily home based patients at Northern Health and may include working in Centre based Community areas. Education and supervision of physiotherapy students and junior staff is also a requirement of this role.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- A background which includes significant clinical experience including; general medical, musculoskeletal, and neurological patients in the community.
- Has an appreciation of physiotherapy services in an organisational context and as a senior staff member is able to take responsibility for leading and managing resources to meet the requirements of NH
- Demonstrated highly developed interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated leadership skills and initiative in developing and promoting clinical care
- Demonstrated ability to lead and promote evidence based practice
- Possesses practical negotiation and conflict resolution skills
- Experienced in supervision of physiotherapy staff and/or Allied Health Assistants
- Demonstrated leadership within a multidisciplinary team and promotion of interprofessional practice
