Grade 3 Allied Health Assistant
- Part time, fixed term June 2024-May 2025
- 32 hours per fortnight
- Based at our Parkville City Campus
- Working in our Acute General Medicine Team
The Royal Melbourne Hospital Physiotherapy service is made up of over 130 staff providing services across the City Campus in Parkville and the Royal Park Campus. We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate and dedicated Grade 3 Allied Health Assistant to join our collaborative and supportive Physiotherapy service within the General Medicine team.
Your new role:
- Provide Physiotherapy and Allied Health support and interventions within identified scope of practice as determined by Allied Health Clinician/s.
- Develop your skills and knowledge as an Allied Health Assistant.
- Communicate with a range of people, including patients, families/carers, and staff from other disciplines.
- Assist in the provision of leadership and coordination of other Allied Health Assistants, and Allied Health
- Assistant student placements across RMH.
- Assist with the management and prioritisation of AHA weekday and weekend caseloads and provide AHA Hydrotherapy support to the Physiotherapy team at RMH (as required).
About you:
- You hold an Allied Health Assistant Certificate IV or equivalent and have a minimum of three years’ experience (full time equivalent) as a Grade 2 (or equivalent).
- You have strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as administrative skills.
- You are adaptable and thrive in a dynamic multidisciplinary team environment.
- You have a passion for patient centred care and are able to follow instructions and guidance from Physiotherapists and Allied Health clinicians.
- You hold a current Victorian driver's license
