Northeast Health Wangaratta (NHW) is the major health provider in the Central Hume region with an extensive range of acute, sub-acute, aged care and community services.
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Occupational or Physiotherapist to provide leadership within our specialist outpatient Hand Therapy service at Northeast Health Wangaratta. Northeast health is regionally one of the largest providers of hand therapy throughout the region, the team is made up of several Hand Therapist who are focused on evidence based practice, invested in learning and their own development. The position involves development, co-ordination and leadership of the Hand Therapy service.
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have extensive knowledge and experience in hand therapy services
- Demonstrated commitment to provision of evidence based and client centred practice
- Have strong collaboration and teaching skills
- Demonstrate consolidated clinical leadership skills
- Have experience in quality improvement and potentially research
This position is be part of the NHW Occupational Therapy team, a group of including Grade 1, 2 and 3 clinicians servicing clinical areas inclusive of emergency, acute, inpatient rehabilitation, outpatient and community funded streams. Our department strives for evidence based services that meet the needs of our community and contribute to our profession.
