Job description:

Your New Role:

This position offers a Graduate Accountant the opportunity to assist the Financial Control Manager to provide timely, accurate and commercially focused financial and management accounting support. This role is also technology savvy, a strong team player who will work closely and build strong relationships with the broader Group Finance & Strategy to achieve its efficiencies goal.

  • Assist with timely and precise month-end and year-end close, ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
  • Assist with accruals, prepayments and general journal postings
  • Assist with balance sheet reconciliations
  • Assist with accurate monthly BAS and yearly FBT entertainment register and checklist
  • Assist in the production, finalization and delivery of the monthly, quarterly, half yearly and annual management reporting packs / statutory reporting packs in an accurate and timely manner
  • Assist with internal and external audit processes
  • Assist and participate in and support Group and business unit projects and initiatives

About You:

  • Recently graduated with excellent communication skills and tech savvy
  • Eligible to, or have commenced CA or CPA program
  • Strong computer skills, including high levels in Excel (Systems used at AU: SUN, Blackline & TM1)
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to adapt quickly to change and work methodically
  • Enthusiastic and be motivated to succeed in the profession
