About the role
McIlwain is excited to offer an opportunity for a Graduate Accountant to start their professional journey within our Accounts Payable team. Becoming a vital member of our finance department, the successful candidate will have the chance to gain hands-on experience and valuable insight into finance, to kick start their career in accounting.
Duties
- Management of AP mailboxes.
- Processing invoices and authorisations.
- Processing of credit card transactions.
- Ensure AP procedures are documented and reviewed on a periodic basis.
- Escalate accounts payable issues and exceptions to Accounts Manager in a timely manner.
- Preparing weekly and EOM payment run proposal for review and verification by the Accounts Manager.
Skills and experience
- Recent Graduate of a Bachelor of Accounting or higher.
- Experience within an Accounts Payable function highly advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal skills matched with the ability to build meaningful relationships at all levels of the business.
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Intermediate Excel skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
