Graduate / Assistant Accountant (Entry Level)

We are multinational company with Head Quarters Based in Europe in the Project Engineering Sector. We are looking for an entry level assistant accountant to join our AU finance team with office in Belrose.

• Entry level position.
• Hands On Role. Degree Qualified.
• Experience in using Microsoft Excel In a Finance Function
• A/cs Payable, A/cs Receivable, Job Costing.
• Accounting to Trial Balance.
• Quick Books or MYOB Experience.
• Attention to Detail A Key Requirement of the role. Passionate about checks and balances.

Assisting the Financial Controller and Managers of the company with accounting, administration and payroll / hr tasks on a full time basis in a professional, mature and respectable manner. A team player will be a great fit.

Key Duties and Responsibilities but not limited to :

• A/Cs Payable and Employee Expenses : Processing, data entry and payment of supplier invoices (Job Costing and OPEX). Overseas suppliers processing and payments. Purchase Orders and bills reconciliation. Suppliers statements reconciliation. Foreign currency suppliers. Employee expenses reconciliation, data entry, payment and receipts verification. Credit card reconciliations and expense verification.
• Bank Reconciliation : Carrying out bank reconciliations for our AU and NZ entities both local and foreign currency. Understanding of exchange rates and coversions for Foreign currency Bank accounts.
• A/Cs Receivable :  Cash receipts entries both AU and NZ. Cash collections and cashflow process in assisting the FC.
• Accounting : Fixed Assets, General Journals, Balance Sheet Reconciliations, FX conversions, Advance Payments, Prepayments, Accruals, Trial Balance, Accurate Data Entry and Coding. GL account reconciliations.
• Administration : Credit applications. Ad-hoc administration requests by Managers.

Skills and Experience :

• Quickbooks is essential or MYOB
• Must have an accounting degree and /or studying towards CPA
• Must have an attention to detail and understanding the accuracy of data entry
• Microsoft Excel Usage in an Accounting Environment essential
