The Opportunity:
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Azure Data Administrator to join our IT team based in South Yarra, Victoria.
Reporting to the Head of IT, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining Kinrise’s Azure data environment, focusing on Microsoft SQL, SQL Analytics, Data Factory, and Runbooks. This role will require you to leverage your unique blend of data management and BI to create robust, scalable databases that align with business objectives.
The successful candidate will be able to work independently and collaboratively while ensuring the Azure data environment is reliable, secure and scalable.
Your Responsibilities:
- Implement and manage Azure SQL databases, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Utilize Azure Data Factory to construct, schedule, and orchestrate ETL/ELT workflows.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including backups and updates.
- Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines to ensure seamless data flow.
- Ensure data security and compliance with industry standards and company policies.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Azure data services and infrastructure.
- Assist in resolving issues related to data access, integrity, and performance.
- Manage and maintain Azure runbooks for automating routine tasks across our Azure resources.
- Monitor and optimize data storage and processing for cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
- Collaborate with BI analysts to design and maintain datasets that support data-driven decision-making.
- Integrate data from multiple heterogeneous sources ensuring consistency and accuracy
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of data flows, data lineage and data transformations

- You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.
- You are familiar with Azure data services, including SQL Database, SQL Analytics, Data Factory, and runbooks.
- You understand BI concepts and has experience in managing databases.
- You may have experience in SAP.
- You are eager to learn and grow and not shy away from any challenges.
