Term full-time vacancy up to 12 months.

The Graduate Cyber Security Officer contributes to protecting SAPOL’s digital assets. As a Graduate Cyber Security Officer, you will assist with the monitoring, detecting, analysing and responding to cyber threats, incidents and vulnerabilities. You will also be involved in developing and implementing security policies, standards and best practices, as well as conducting security audits and assessments. You will work closely with other IT professionals, business units and external partners to ensure the security and compliance of our systems and data as well as ensuring the smooth running of systems and processes across SAPOL.

Special Conditions

• The incumbent must hold a current Australian work eligibility status and will be subject to a criminal history check.
• The incumbent may be assigned to other duties at this remuneration level or equivalent.
• Some out of hours work and intra/interstate travel may be required.
• The incumbent is required to participate in SAPOL’s iEngage program.

Requirements
A recent Cyber Security, computer science, information technology, data science, mathematics, economics, law, public policy and administration or national/international security graduate, having completed a University or TAFE (Certificate IV and above) Qualification within the last 3 years or will complete a qualification before the employment commencement date.

Salary
ASO3 - $66,590 - $70,968 per annum.
