Eligibility: Open to EveryoneJob SummaryThe Cyber Security Officer will support the management and ongoing development of I&T Cyber Security programs and associated technologies to achieve I&T service objectives and support the delivery of Cyber Security projects by providing timely support to the Cyber Security team.The duties of the role will include:

• Support the management and ongoing development of I&T Cyber Security programs and associated technologies to achieve I&T service objectives.
• Support the delivery of Cyber Security projects by providing timely support to the Cyber Security team while applying initiative and judgement.
• Contribute and support the achievement of Cyber Security’s business plan objectives.
• Undertake minor or contribute to major ICT projects and assist with the implementation of approved recommendations.
• Support the maintenance of Cyber Security systems, monitoring the performance of applications and respond to emergencies, analyse and resolve issues by working collaboratively with senior Cyber Security team members.
• Maintain effective working relationships in the delivery of ICT projects, training and other tasks by communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Contributing to the promotion and implementation of Public Sector Principles and Practices and in particular Equal Opportunity, Work Health and Safety by adhering to the provisions of various Acts and associated legislation.

Special Conditions

• Short Term temporary contract for up to 12 months with the possibility of an extension.
• Some out of hours work may be required.
• Intrastate and interstate travel may be required.
• The incumbent will be required to participate in the Departmental Performance Management Program.
• The incumbent may be required to be assigned to other positions at the same remuneration level across the department.
• The incumbent may be required to apply for, and successfully obtain, a Baseline Security Check.
• Engagement in this role is subject to a satisfactory Department of Human Services General Employment Probity Check. A renewal will be required every three years.
