We are looking for a diligent, collaborative, and solutions-driven graduate Data Analyst to join our Data & Analytics (D&A) team.
The D&A team is responsible for the design, engineering, development & support of operational and advanced analytics that informs and supports decision-makers across Healthscope, including hospital operations, health fund contract management, procurement and more. Healthcare is a particularly data-rich sector which presents unique business and clinical opportunities, meaning that this is a great opportunity to develop your skills in a supportive environment.
Position Responsibilities:
- Answering ad hoc business questions using data and analytics.
- Engaging with stakeholders to identify issues, improvements, and gather requirements.
- Development of artefacts like reports, dashboards, and extracts to answer questions.
- Building and maintaining data models in our warehouse.
- Writing and maintaining documentation and data definitions.
Selection Criteria:
- Tertiary background in quantitative disciplines with strong grades (Business Analytics, Computer Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, Mathematics, etc.) – a Master’s degree would be preferable, but strong Bachelors considered.
- Familiarity with SQL, databases, insight generation, principles of data modelling.
- Desire to learn and get better every day.
- Strong focus on fast learners who value purpose and achievement.
Desirable Criteria:
Experience with healthcare or hospital operations, including models of care, health information management and patient administration would be a bonus. Some familiarity with our tech stack (Power BI, Snowflake, Git, Github, dbt) would also be of benefit.
