Graduate Development Engineer 

(Suit Graduate Engineer with at least 2 years’ experience)

Permanent Full Time, Level 4.1-5.1, $81769 to $89610 pa + super.

An exceptional opportunity has become available to join Council’s Development Services Team, based at Freeling, with significant population growth via the Roseworthy Township Expansion. Located only approximately an hour north of the Adelaide CBD with great connectors such as the Northern Expressway and Gawler Bypass, Light Regional Council is home to a diverse range of development and residential growth opportunities. 

As the Development Engineer, you will join a small dynamic team of professional staff. The position holds the key responsibilities of providing engineering and technical analysis and advice in support of the Council’s development assessment and asset handover functions.

To be successful in this role all applicants will have:

• Completed a degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent), with work experience within areas of development assessment, land divisions and stormwater.
• The ability to manage and work with key stakeholders to oversee the delivery of key infrastructure and determine that quality standards have been achieved before it is accepted as an asset by Council to ensure effective and efficient outcomes.
• A high level of both written and verbal communication skills. 
• A sense of willingness and enthusiasm to ensure quality outcomes are achieved. 
• Strong attention to detail; and
• Proven problem-solving skills.
